Riptide: Looking Ahead to the 2026 Swim Season
Hello Swim Team Families,
As we begin planning for the 2026 swim season, we’re excited to share a few updates and opportunities for families to connect and get involved.
Registration is open! As a reminder, swimmers who live outside of the HOA must register for the pool through the HOA. Please refer to the registration form for instructions.
Virtual Swim Team Meeting
Please join us for a virtual swim team meeting on Sunday, March 15th at 7 PM. We’ll walk through plans for the upcoming season, answer questions, hear your feedback and ideas, and talk about ways families can participate and support the team.Video call link: https://meet.google.com/ngc-
Board & Volunteer Opportunities
Our swim team runs because of strong community involvement. In addition to each family helping at meets, we also need volunteers to support work before and after meets.
We are looking to fill several board positions and season-long volunteer roles for the upcoming season and need your support. More details about the available positions and responsibilities will be shared at the upcoming meeting. There are opportunities to contribute at every level of availability.
SwimTopia Calendar
Our SwimTopia calendar has been updated with the known swim meets, social and award events. We’ll continue to add details as they become available. If you choose to subscribe to the calendar, updates will automatically sync to your personal calendar.

**Please note that CIT roles are typically filled by rising 9th graders and older. Rising 8th graders are welcome to apply; however, preference will be given to older swimmers.
Swim Suits & Team Store
Good news! Swimmers may continue using the same team suit as last year. We will host a suit try-on session at the pool during the week of May 17. A separate notice will be sent once the exact date and time are confirmed. Additionally, we plan to place an order for personalized swim caps in mid-May. Please keep an eye out for more information about the swim caps and our Team Store coming soon.
Officials Training Information
Officials play a key role in helping our meets run smoothly. Training for stroke & turn, starter, and referee positions typically begins in April. If you’re interested in becoming an official, please let us know. Training dates will be shared as soon as they are available and will also be posted on the ODSL website.
We’re looking forward to another fun and successful season together! Please feel free to forward this email to any neighbors who might be interested in joining the fun!
Can't wait to see you all at the pool!
