Mini Waves ~ We are the future!

Quick Overview

• What is it?
  • A fun, relaxed swim lesson program for ages 3–8
  • Meets weekdays starting on June 16th 
  • Designed for beginners and swimmers not yet “swim-team ready”
  • Season ends with a “Lollipop Meet” on TBD (kickboard races, relays, prizes!)
  • Some children outside the age range may be eligible at the coaches’ discretion
• 2026 Season Dates & Location
  • June 16 – July 17 (5 weeks)
  • Held at the Rivercrest Pool
• Practice Times (30-minute sessions)
  • Weekdays from 8:30am - 9am
  • Placement assigned by the Mini Waves Coach
  • 24 swimmers max
• Registration & Cost
  • $349 Register online through the Riptide SwimTopia system

  • Led by a Senior Riptide Coach 

Swim Levels

1. Minnows (Level 1) – Water comfort, bubbles, face in water, basic games
2. Starfish (Level 2) – Kicking, floating, basic propulsion, intro to breathing & sitting dive
3. Dolphins (Level 3) – Stronger kick, intro to arms, deep water confidence, standing dive progression
4. Mini Riptides (Level 4) – “Riptide Ready,” front & back crawl, deep water skills, possible swim team evaluation

Swimmers may move levels as they progress.
