Good afternoon,

The rain may end by 6:00 but the damage is done. With the pool closed due to the cold temperature we will have to cancel practice tonight. This the first time in my 14 years with Riptide that we’ve even had to cancel the first practice much less the first two. Anyway, with warmer weather on the horizon we will move forward and have our first practice tomorrow. The water will be chilly, (always is this time of year) but we will do our best to keep the kids moving. If you still need to get a team suit we will have them available at practice tomorrow. 

If you haven’t yet done so, please declare your swimmers availability for time trials as well as sign up for volunteer position for the meet. Remember that as part of being on the team we need an adult from every family to work each meet. Thank you in advance for signing up early so our wonderful volunteer coordinator doesn’t have to chase people down to fill vacant positions. Sign ups for all meets and jobs will be available by the end of the week.
