Good afternoon Riptide,

Welcome to our first full week of practice. The kids did great last week and we are all really excited to see how much improvement they had in only three days back in the pool. With two full weeks of practice until our first meet we will continue to see the kids get more comfortable, stronger and faster in the water. 

Time Trials will take place next Tuesday at 5:30 with a rain date of Wednesday at 5:30. For our new families, this is how the swimmers establish their seed times for our first meet. Time Trials also acts as a dry run for all of us to simulate running a full meet, including operating concessions so come hungry. Since Time Trials is just our team, it has our greatest volunteer needs of the season. Volunteering to work at each meet is a requirement for every family. Without all of your help we simply can't run the meets. Just to give you all a sense of what it takes to put on a home swim meet, we need to fill 35  Individual assignments for each meet, and 51 for time trials. We currently have 52 Riptide families and a total of 88 swimmers.  On any given meet day, due to other obligations, we will never have full attendance so as you can see we need everyones help.

Try to commit your kids asap for Time Trials, registration will close on Sunday at 6:00pm. For Time Trials and all meets, please let us know even if your swimmer won't be attending by selecting "not attending this meet". I have enabled the ability to commit your swimmers for all home meets, and you are able to sign up for jobs for both home and away meets.
